16-Year Old Program
- Purchase MVC Permit through a Licensed driving school
- US Passport, Birth Certificate or a Green Card are needed to buy a permit
- Come to our Boonton Office to sign up for the MVC permit
- Student provides a print out of the Written Test email from High School
- Or takes the Written Test at Compas Driving School Boonton Office (fee applies)
- Student starts his/her 6-Hour Behind the Wheel (BTW) Training once the permit is printed
- Once BTW training is complete, the permit is validated and completed
- Road Test Date and time is also booked after permit Validation
- The student can now train with parents in times allowed within the state of NJ
- Road Test: The Highly recommended package for Students taking the Road Test is the 2-Hour Refresher Plus the car for the test. This package is NOT included in the Teen 6-Hour Program described above.
Adult driver programs
- Student Buys a permit at MVC and Passes the Written Test
- Document Selection Sheet with US Passport, Birth Certificate or a Green Card and two more points are needed
- If written Test help is needed, please request the MVC clerk at the written test desk to arrange for a translator in your language
- After Written Test is passed, Student makes an appointment with Compas Drving School for training
- Starts Six or Ten hour Behind the Wheel Training as purchased
- Licensed drivers can do Confidence Building sessions
- Student goes for a Refresher before the test and uses the car for the Road Test using a variety of packages
Special Needs Adult students
- Student Buys a permit at MVC and Passes the Written Test
- Document Selection Sheet with US Passport, Birth Certificate or a Green Card and two more points are needed
- Calls Compas Driving school and discuss the special student's needs
- We are specialized in training ADD, ADHD and other special needs students
- Appointment is made with the specialized instructor on staff
- Starts Six or Ten hour Behind the Wheel Training based on students needs and level of disability
- When training is complete, family is briefed on the progress and what is next
- Student goes for a Refresher before the test and uses the car for the Road Test depending on which package was chosen
